Richard created his domain in 2007, taking on established vines aged between 40 and 80 years. His driving passion is the chance to experiment with innovative organic viticulture.
The Gamay from the Moulin a Vent Mortperay is farmed in a 1.5ha parcel of 60 years old vines, sitting in a granite soil. (single vineyard)
The grapes are kept with 100% whole cluster, and do semi-carbonic maceration, followed by fermentation in concrete tanks.The temperature is kept under 30°C.
30% of the wine is matured in used oak barrels (3-10years), and 70% matured in concrete tanks, both for 8 months. Bottled without filtration.
